Price outdoor furniture assembly in Dubai by the exact table, chairs, sofa modules or loungers—not just “one garden set”. General assembly advertisements use hourly or per-item prices, but they do not establish an all-in rate for your outdoor models. Send product links, quantities, box counts and the final balcony or terrace location before comparing quotes.
Assembly should follow each model’s instructions and finish with stability and operating checks. Delivery, carrying, floor repairs, anchoring, weather protection and packaging removal are separate unless the written quote includes them.
Six chairs and a table may arrive as seven straightforward items, several heavy cartons or a mixture of preassembled frames and loose components. A modular sofa adds another question: which pieces form the finished layout, and which connectors belong between them?
This guide covers outdoor furniture assembly for balconies, terraces and gardens. For beds, wardrobes and indoor flat-pack furniture, use the general furniture assembly cost guide. Pergolas, built-in kitchens, suspended seats and structural installations need separately assessed scopes.

What Dubai assembly advertisements can tell you
These public examples were checked on 8 October 2026. They show charging models, not a verified outdoor-furniture market range. Do not multiply a headline hourly offer by a guessed build time and treat the result as a quote.
| Provider example | Published amount and unit | What remains unconfirmed |
|---|---|---|
| ServiceMarket: general furniture assembly | FAQ states AED 129 per hour; headline advertises from AED 79* | Page also describes an AED 50 new-customer offer. Confirm eligibility, minimum booking, team size and VAT; parts/materials are extra. |
| SML Repairs: dining table and chairs | AED 100–500 per listed dining set, varying by chair count | Provider lists outdoor work, but this price row is not outdoor-model-specific. Tools/standard fittings are stated as included; furniture supply and VAT need separate treatment. |
These are advertisements, not transaction-derived figures. Actual pricing depends on the model schedule, access, condition, materials and agreed work. Ask for a fixed whole-job total where the models are known, or a clearly bounded hourly arrangement explaining how extra time is approved. For minimum bookings and combining small jobs in one visit, see the handyman pricing guide.
Compare your written quotes on the same basis
Use the provider’s written fixed, package or hourly terms. Enter agreed working time and whether the hourly rate covers a team or each person; do not invent assembly times. Keep products, access, minimum booking and extra work explicit. Unknown required charges remain unresolved.
Open the full outdoor furniture assembly quote comparison. This tool compares the amounts you enter, not provider quality, safety or market prices.
Illustrative arithmetic, not a market rate: a written AED 200 whole-job labour quote plus AED 30 of separately charged provider-supplied fixings totals AED 230 before VAT, or AED 241.50 if both exclude 5% VAT. This assumes every other required cost is confirmed included or not needed. Customer-bought items use their final paid total; do not tax them again.
Count the pieces that need building
A retailer’s “set” is a sales grouping, not a labour unit. For example, IKEA UAE’s NÄMMARÖ table-and-four-chair listing identifies the table and chair components separately, with different instruction documents. Give providers that level of detail even if the receipt shows one line.
| Furniture | List in the brief | Check before sign-off |
|---|---|---|
| Dining or bistro set | Table model, chair model and count; glass/stone top or extending mechanism | All feet supported; top correctly secured; extension operates as intended |
| Modular outdoor sofa | Each corner, middle, arm and table module; proposed arrangement and connectors | Modules joined as instructed; no unexplained missing connectors or hardware |
| Loungers or reclining chairs | Quantity, wheels, arms and moving backrest parts | Adjustments engage correctly; moving parts demonstrated without fingers in pinch points |
| Parasol or freestanding swing | Exact model, specified base/ballast or frame, and exposure | Separate model-specific assessment; do not assume a generic base or improvised fixing is suitable |
For a heavy tabletop or awkward frame, ask whether the quoted team can handle it safely through the route. Do not assume “one assembler” means a resident is expected to lift the other end. A partly built or previously dismantled item also needs its condition and missing-parts risk declared.

What is included—and what is another job?
Agree on protected unpacking, checking the supplied parts, assembly to the model instructions, placement and a final walkthrough. The assembler should identify missing or damaged components before forcing a fit. Keep the product and part identifiers so replacements can be requested from the seller.
| Scope item | Question for each provider |
|---|---|
| Delivery and carrying | Are cartons already at the work area? Is carrying from parking, upstairs or through the home included? |
| Fixings and extras | Are all manufacturer-specified parts present? What happens if a connector, foot or fastener is missing? |
| Placement and surface | Is the final surface firm and suitable? Floor repair, drilling and structural work are separate. |
| Protection and cleanup | Does cleanup mean bagging packaging or taking it off site? Are covers or wood treatments supplied? |
| Price and completion | Confirm total, VAT status, parking, minimum hours, return-visit charge and adjustment terms. |
Factory-supplied fasteners are part of a specified assembly. Do not approve an arbitrary substitute just because it fits the hole. Ask the manufacturer about missing hardware, damaged load-bearing parts or an unclear manual. A stripped joint or cracked frame is a repair assessment, not simply more assembly time.
Plan the balcony or terrace before the cartons open
Check the finished furniture dimensions as well as carton dimensions. A set assembled indoors may not pass through the balcony door. Identify the work area, the route and the final layout in advance, leaving doors, drains and required access clear. Keep climbable furniture away from balcony guards where children could use it to reach the edge.
In towers, confirm security registration, lift slots and work hours. For villas, identify steps, narrow side gates and a shaded practical work area. If wind, heat or rain makes the setup unsuitable, agree a safer location or time rather than rushing the job. No one should lean beyond a balcony edge to fit or retrieve a part.
Do not treat anchoring as a universal add-on. Follow the specific product’s instructions and obtain permission before drilling into tiled terraces, waterproofing, façades or shared elements. Suspended furniture needs a suitable support assessment; ordinary furniture assembly does not verify a ceiling or beam’s capacity.
Assembly does not replace outdoor care
For its NÄMMARÖ wooden chair, IKEA’s UAE care guidance calls for regular cleaning, protection during storage and seasonal screw checks. It also recommends restaining and ventilation beneath a cover. These are model-specific care requirements, not a rule that every material needs the same treatment.
For Dubai use, discuss where cushions and covers will go when not needed and whether exposed metal fittings have manufacturer care requirements. An assembler cannot make indoor-only furniture weatherproof. Keep the manual and ask which checks you should repeat after use; ongoing maintenance is not automatically part of the original assembly fee.
What to send for comparable quotes
- A numbered list of models and quantities, with product links and manuals.
- Photos of carton labels, all boxes and any already-opened or damaged pieces.
- A wide photo of the intended layout and the access route, including steps and door openings.
- Whether delivery has happened, packaging must leave the property, and any fixing is proposed.
- Building access rules and your preferred completion window—not an assumed assembly duration.
Crop delivery labels to retain model details while removing names, phone numbers and addresses. Keep family members and neighbouring homes out of photographs. Include a deck box separately under outdoor storage box assembly; its lid and safety checks are not the same as a table’s.

Frequently asked questions
Is outdoor assembly priced per set or per item?
Providers may use either, or charge hourly. Request an item schedule and a total for that schedule. “One set” should state the table, chair and module counts so quotations cover the same work.
Does furniture delivery include assembly?
Sometimes, but check the retailer’s order terms. Delivery to the entrance, delivery to the final location and completed assembly are different services. Avoid booking duplicate work without checking your purchase first.
Can the furniture be assembled before it goes outside?
Only if the completed pieces can pass through the route without damage or unsafe lifting. Share doorway and access constraints before the provider selects a work area.
Should all outdoor furniture be anchored?
No universal rule fits every product. Use the model instructions and site assessment. Parasols, swings and exposed locations raise different questions from ordinary freestanding chairs; never improvise a structural fixing.
What if a part is missing?
Pause the affected item, identify the exact part and contact the seller or manufacturer. Confirm whether a return visit is charged. Do not use an incomplete chair, lounger or sofa while waiting for its required hardware.
