Why this is not a simple cost-per-sqm tool
Public Dubai pages mix water footprint, internal finish area and complete project price. The model therefore anchors each structural system to a reviewed 8 × 4 m project band, scales dimensions with fixed plant costs retained, and prices the wet finish surface and deck separately.
What must still be designed onsite
- Structure, soil, groundwater, boundary and buried-service conditions.
- Suction, return, filtration, turnover, dosing and balance-tank hydraulics.
- Electrical supply, protection, underwater lighting and heater or chiller capacity.
- Backwash disposal, deck falls, drainage, fence and safe access.
- Community NOC, competent authority approval and completion requirements.

Why does the calculator not use one cost per square metre?
A pool has substantial fixed structural, filtration, electrical, approval and mobilisation costs. Public Dubai sources also use inconsistent sqm definitions. The model therefore scales a reviewed project range and calculates finish and deck areas separately.
Does the estimate include Dubai approvals?
Only when the approval-planning option is selected. Its AED 8,000–25,000 band is a broad market allowance for consultant drawings, community NOC and authority process—not an official fixed permit fee. The competent authority and master developer determine the actual route.
