Home Nail Service Dubai: Manicure, Gel & Extension Costs

Compare home manicure, pedicure and nail-extension quotes in Dubai, including gel removal, design extras, travel charges and appointment checks.

A home nail service in Dubai should be quoted as an itemised appointment: hands, feet, polish or gel, existing-product removal, any extensions, and the home-visit charge. A headline manicure price is not necessarily the amount you will pay. Two provider menus checked on 20 October 2026 both list a classic manicure at AED50, but one includes polish and the other lists no colour; their pedicure, extension and travel terms also differ.

This guide covers nail services completed in your home, not salon-only offers. Use it to compare like-for-like bookings, identify separately charged extras and prepare a suitable working space.

Choose the nail service before comparing the total

Manicure and pedicure requests should say whether you want hands, feet or both and whether the finish is regular polish, gel or no colour. An application-only service may not include the preparation included in a full manicure. A combined package may use gel on the hands but regular polish on the feet; ask rather than assuming both match.

Nail extensions need a different brief: new set, refill or removal; proposed material; length and shape; and design complexity. State what is already on your nails. Existing extensions can require different removal work from ordinary gel polish, and a refill is not the same job as a full new set.

Published prices: what the menu amount actually covers

These named examples were checked on 20 October 2026 using Home Salon by SAbeauti's nail menu and Styles & Smiles' manicure and pedicure menu. Styles & Smiles also offers venue appointments, so confirm that the quoted price and terms apply to your home booking.

VAT treatment was not explicit in these displayed menus. Removal labels and extension finishes are not standardised, so the table should not be read as a ranking of providers. These are advertised examples, not Bestimate tariffs, a Dubai average or confirmation of availability.

Five details that can change the final appointment price

  1. What is being removed. Tell the technician whether you have regular polish, gel polish, an overlay or extensions, and whether another provider applied them. Ask for the removal line before booking.
  2. How much design work is involved. Send your reference and identify the number of decorated nails. “Nail art” may be priced per nail rather than per full set.
  3. New set versus maintenance. Refills, repairs and replacements are different jobs. Ask whether a missing or damaged extension changes the planned service.
  4. People and location. A second person adds services and time. Confirm whether travel is charged once per visit, per technician or in another way.
  5. Conditions attached to a package. Check the exact combination, booking minimum, promotion conditions and cancellation terms. Do not assume two separately priced services receive a combo discount.

A useful calculation is the total of the confirmed service lines, plus applicable removal, design, repairs and visit charges. Use an actual written quote, not the example menu prices as defaults. Keep unconfirmed charges visible rather than entering zero. If a provider states a minimum spend, ask how it is applied before adding it as a separate fee.

How to compare two home nail quotes fairly

Use the same appointment specification for every provider

Quote fieldWhat to make explicit
Hands and feetService and finish for each; application only or full manicure/pedicure.
Existing productType, removal charge and any condition that could change the appointment.
Extensions and artMaterial, length, new set/refill, number of decorated nails and repairs.
Visit totalEquipment, location charge, applicable tax, booking minimum and payment terms.
Time and follow-upExpected duration, drying/finishing time and what happens if you report a service issue.

Ask the technician to confirm any revised work before starting it. A photo can help with scope, but it is not a diagnosis and may not reveal everything about the existing product. The provider should explain any change and obtain your agreement rather than silently adding charges.

Home setup and hygiene checks

Confirm whether the technician brings a portable table, chairs, lamp, pedicure equipment and protective covering. If you supply a table, choose a stable surface with comfortable seating and enough room for the equipment. Provide the access and parking details in advance and keep children and pets away from tools, hot equipment and chemical products.

The American Academy of Dermatology's gel manicure guidance recommends asking about tool sterilisation and cleaning between clients, and not allowing cuticles to be pushed or cut. It also recommends hand protection against the UV exposure used for gel curing, such as broad-spectrum SPF30 or higher sunscreen or suitable dark, opaque fingerless protection.

Do not pick off gel or treat removal as an opportunity for improvised scraping. Ask for appropriate professional removal. Persistent nail changes or problems belong with a qualified healthcare professional, not a promise that a new coating will fix them. Share relevant product reactions privately before the visit.

Frequently asked questions

Is gel removal included with a new manicure?

Not necessarily. Menus may price removal separately, and removal of gel polish is not the same as removing extensions. Include the existing product in the booking request and get a specific answer.

Are nail extensions and gel manicures the same service?

No. A gel manicure describes a polish/finish service on the agreed nail preparation, while an extension booking involves added length and a specified system. Ask for the precise material and work included rather than relying on “gel nails.”

Can two people share one home appointment?

Ask for a per-person service list and whether one technician works sequentially or two arrive together. Confirm travel charges, equipment and the finish time for both people.

What is the best way to request a quote?

State your Dubai area, number of people, hands/feet, desired finish, existing product and extension or design requirements. Choose the manicure/pedicure or nail-extension service above, then compare the complete visit amount and written scope.
