A haircut or blow-dry at home in Dubai should be booked as a specific service, not simply “hair styling”. A trim, a restyle, a straight blow-dry and an occasion updo involve different work. Ask for the price for your hair length, density and desired finish, then confirm washing, travel and any minimum booking before paying.
The current home-service menus below illustrate the difference: one provider lists a medium-length styling cut at AED 95, another lists a haircut at AED 150, and a third advertises a women’s haircut from AED 260. These are individual advertised services, not a like-for-like Dubai price range. A complete cut-and-blow-dry booking may be priced separately.
What do Dubai home haircut and blow-dry menus actually include?
These examples were checked on 23 October 2026. They are provider-published prices per person/service, not Bestimate transaction averages or confirmed quotes. The sampled cut menus principally describe women’s hair services; do not apply them automatically to barbering, children’s cuts or specialist textured-hair work.
Selected advertised home-service items, not interchangeable packages
| Provider and menu item | Advertised AED | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| SAbeauti: styling cut, medium / long | 95 / 115 | Washing and blow-drying appear as separate menu items. |
| SAbeauti: straight / wavy / curly blow-dry | 160 / 210 / 265 | Different finishes; location fee applies. |
| Zaha: haircut / trim | 150 / 100 | A trim is not the same item as a full haircut. |
| Zaha: blowout, short / medium / long | 150 / 180 / 200 | Extra thickness and length has a separate AED 100 line. |
| 24 Home Service Salon: women’s haircut | From 260 | Its haircut plus blow-dry is separately listed from AED 364. |
| 24 Home Service Salon: daytime blow-dry, short–medium / medium–long | From 187 / 218 | These listings cover 10am–10pm; after-hours bookings have different prices. |

Choose the finish before comparing prices
Describe the result you want in ordinary language. “Keep the existing shape and remove a small amount from the ends” communicates something different from “change long hair into a short layered style”. Tell the stylist if you want your natural texture preserved rather than a straightened finish.
| Your intended result | Ask the provider to confirm |
|---|---|
| Maintain the current haircut | Trim versus full-cut classification, amount removed, fringe and finishing. |
| Change the shape or length | Consultation, stylist experience with your texture, washing and final styling. |
| Straight or smooth blow-dry | Brush blow-drying versus additional straightener work; whether you must pre-wash. |
| Waves, defined curls or an updo | Styling tools, preparation, extensions, pins or accessories and the required finish time. |
Hair colouring, chemical straightening, extension installation and a complete bridal look are not assumed extras to a haircut appointment. They need their own consultation and scope. If you are choosing between several beauty services, start with the home beauty service selection guide.
Length is only one part of a useful booking brief
“Long hair” is not a universal measurement. State where your hair reaches, describe its density and texture, and mention existing extensions. Ask whether the quoted length bracket was confirmed from your description rather than leaving the decision until the stylist arrives.
For curly or coily hair, ask about relevant cutting and finishing experience and the preparation the stylist wants. Do not assume that an advertised “curly blow-dry” means a specialist natural-curl haircut: it may describe the finished style instead. For children, specify age and ask whether the professional accepts that booking. For a fade, beard work or another barbering service, request that expertise explicitly rather than using the women’s menu as a price reference.
A current hair photo and one reference image can reduce misunderstanding. Crop or blur unrelated faces, names, addresses, unit numbers and other identifying details. Send contact and access information through private booking fields, not inside the photograph. The reference should guide a discussion, not imply that every look is achievable on every hair type in one appointment.

Washing and equipment: settle the home setup first
A home appointment does not automatically include a salon backwash basin. Agree whether you should wash beforehand, whether your hair should be damp or dry at the start, and what facilities are needed if washing is included. Avoid improvising an uncomfortable washing position when the stylist arrives.
Ask who supplies the chair, mirror, cape, towels, floor protection, dryer and brushes. Equipment differs between providers: Quick Style explicitly describes bringing a chair, tools and products and asks for setup space near a socket and a sink where rinsing is needed. That is its stated arrangement, not a promise that every visiting stylist carries the same kit.
Choose a stable chair on an easily protected floor with room for the stylist to move around it. Keep electrical equipment away from water and leave leads clear of walkways. Children and pets should not enter the working area while sharp or hot tools are in use. Agree cleanup and hair collection as part of the visit.
For privacy, explain any requirements before staff are assigned. Give building security and parking instructions privately, check visitor access and allow time for the professional to reach the apartment. An agreed service start time is more useful than an arrival estimate that ignores setup.
Compare the payable appointment, not one menu line
SAbeauti’s home-service pricing page publishes a location fee starting at AED 55, says it has no minimum order, and notes possible additional charges after 9pm or for distant locations. These are one provider’s terms. Another provider may use a minimum spend, a different visit fee or different hours; ask rather than transferring the policy.
| Quote line | What a clear answer contains |
|---|---|
| Cut and finish | Named cut/trim and finish, with your length and density accepted. |
| Washing and extras | Included, separately priced or not required; no automatic addition of services already bundled. |
| Visit and tax | Address-specific charges, any minimum spend, time surcharge and VAT treatment. |
| Timing and booking terms | Stylist count, start/finish window, deposit, cancellation and late-arrival arrangements. |
For several people, list each service individually and ask whether one stylist works sequentially or a team attends. Do not multiply a single person’s appointment time and assume it guarantees the group’s schedule. If someone needs event hair with makeup, describe that separately; it may require a different professional or a longer booking.
Use the existing Haircut & Blowdry service for this scope. A salon-at-home listing does not by itself verify a particular stylist’s availability or specialist experience. Ask who will attend and review relevant examples before agreeing the appointment.
Compare Haircut & Blow-Dry Quotes. Confirm the written scope, price and availability before booking.
Frequently asked questions
Is a blow-dry included with a home haircut?
Only when the quote says so. Providers may sell the cut and finish separately or offer a combined package. Ask whether the finish means a casual dry, a straight blow-dry or more involved styling.
Should I wash my hair before the stylist arrives?
Follow the instructions for your exact service. Confirm whether washing is included and what facilities the stylist needs. Do not assume a portable basin is supplied or arrive with wet hair when a dry assessment is requested.
Can I book a stylist for men, women or children?
Dubai has different visiting hair and barbering offers, but their scope is not interchangeable. Specify the client and requested result. Confirm age acceptance, relevant texture experience and the assigned professional rather than assuming every listing covers everyone.
Why did the final quote exceed the advertised haircut price?
The menu may exclude washing, finishing, extra length or density, travel or time-based charges. Ask for those decisions before booking and require approval before any additional service starts.
Can I combine hair and nails in one home visit?
Possibly, if the provider offers both and confirms staff and scheduling. Compare each service separately; one booking does not guarantee simultaneous work or a discount. The home nail service guide explains removal and extension extras that can affect the appointment.
