How the quantities work
One quantity of 1–20 whole fans applies to both quotations. Installation can be a whole-job amount or a per-fan price multiplied by that quantity. Fan supply can be included in a package, already owned, a separate whole-job total or a separate price per fan. For a mix of models, use the confirmed whole-job supply total rather than pretending every fan has the same price.
Support, wiring/controls, access, removal, making good and other extras are whole-job lines added once. If an extra was quoted per fan, enter its agreed total across the job. Mark it included only when an entered package already covers it. This prevents double-counting a shared support or access charge.
What the total includes
Total = installation labour/package + any separate fan supply + confirmed job-level extras, with VAT added once only for exclusive prices. The standard UAE VAT rate is 5%. Keep retail purchases and installation on the same tax basis; ask the suppliers to clarify mixed-tax quotations before entry.
A blank or unknown item is not zero. The tool shows a known subtotal but withholds the complete total until all scope and tax terms are confirmed. A comparison difference also needs your confirmation of matching models and scope. Complete cost divided by fan quantity is displayed as a comparison average, not a provider's per-fan tariff.
For example, two already-owned fans at AED 200 installation each plus AED 150 job-level support totals AED 550 before VAT, or AED 577.50 when 5% is added. This arithmetic example assumes every other charge has been confirmed; it is not a market estimate.
Limits and exclusions
The quantity limit of 20 and AED 1,000,000 maximum per monetary input are error safeguards, not market or safety limits. Invalid quantities are not silently rounded. Monetary products and totals are rounded to two decimals. Existing fan purchase costs, future faults, unentered work and financing are excluded. Already owned means no new fan purchase is needed for this decision, not that the equipment originally cost nothing.
Scope changes the checklist, not an invented rate
The existing-fan, light-point, new-point and false-ceiling choices identify questions to put to the installer. They do not multiply the price, approve a mounting point, select electrical protection or predict a structural upgrade. Manufacturer instructions such as Panasonic's model-specific mounting guidance distinguish structure from decorative ceiling finish; the actual fan manual and local requirements must govern the work.
Have a competent installer assess support, wiring, controls, clearances and safe access. Share photographs from floor level only. Crop or blur identifying details and keep access/contact information in private booking fields. Do not use a fan with substantial wobble, moving support, scraping, heat or sparking until it has been assessed.
Dubai price references
Checked on 16 September 2026: Fixit UAE's October 2025 guide lists AED 150–350 for standard replacement and AED 350–500+ for its new-point scenario; its FAQ gives a narrower replacement figure. Handpicked Furniture advertises fitting entries from AED 120 and DC installation from AED 160. These are differently scoped public references, not a current guaranteed price or Bestimate average.
