Compare makeup artists at home in Dubai by event look, hair styling, lashes, trials, ready time, hygiene, travel fees and the complete booking price.

To book a makeup artist at home in Dubai, specify the occasion, the people being served and the time everyone must be ready before comparing prices. Makeup alone, makeup with a blow-dry and a bridal package are different bookings. Lashes, a trial, hair accessories, travel and touch-ups should be confirmed individually rather than assumed from “full glam”.

Current advertised examples include regular makeup from AED 315 at SAbeauti and party makeup from AED 572 at 24 Home Service Salon. Those labels are not standardised packages. Use the examples below to ask better questions, not as a guaranteed rate for your artist, look or address.

Makeup at home: Dubai price examples by actual scope

The following public menu items were checked on 23 October 2026. Amounts are per listed service/person unless a package is stated. They are advertised prices, not Bestimate transaction averages. In particular, do not compare makeup-only and bridal hair-and-makeup figures as though the cheaper provider has quoted the same work.

Decide whether you need makeup, hair or a bridal booking

A useful reference describes both the finish and the event: for example, a light complexion finish with defined eyes for an indoor dinner, rather than just “natural”. Explain what you dislike as well as what you like. A reference photograph is a starting point for discussing your features, preferences and available time, not a promise of an identical result.

BookingDetails that change the scope
Makeup for one event guestPreferred coverage and eye look, lashes or no lashes, finish time and any product sensitivities.
Makeup plus hairstylingHair length and density, blow-dry versus updo, washing instructions, extensions and accessories.
Bridal appointmentTrial, confirmed artist, hair, veil/accessory fitting, changes of look and touch-up coverage.
Several family members or guestsA named service and ready time for each person, artist count, workstations and booking order.

“Soft glam” and “full glam” are provider menu descriptions, not regulated levels of service or fixed timings. A natural-looking finish can still require substantial preparation. Avoid choosing a lower tier solely because the look appears simple in a photograph.

This guide covers a visiting artist for occasion makeup and agreed hair styling. It does not cover permanent makeup, injections, clinical procedures or treatment of skin conditions. For an ordinary haircut without an event makeup booking, use the separate Haircut & Blowdry service.

Build the schedule backwards from “ready”, not “arrival”

Tell the artist when makeup and hair must be complete, including time needed for dressing and leaving home. An event starting at 7pm does not mean the last brushstroke should happen at 7pm. Parking, security, equipment setup and a consultation all happen before or around the booked service.

Ask the professional to propose an arrival time, service sequence and reasonable buffer for the exact looks. Agree whether their quoted duration includes setup. If several people are booked, confirm whether one artist works consecutively or separate hair and makeup professionals attend. Do not assume two services happen simultaneously on one person.

For a villa gathering, distinguish people who need to be ready for early photographs from guests arriving later. For an apartment booking, give the building entry process privately and clarify parking access. If travel or traffic changes the arrival, establish how the provider will communicate and what happens when the original ready time cannot be met.

For an outdoor event, explain the expected setting and time outside so the artist can discuss suitable products and touch-up needs. No booking should promise that makeup will remain unchanged through every combination of heat, humidity, movement and hours of wear.

Clean makeup brushes and disposable applicators on a protected home workstation
Ask how tools are cleaned and single-use applicators handled; an attractive kit alone does not establish hygiene standards.

Make the home setup practical and private

Ask what the artist brings: lighting, a suitable chair, mirror, clean brushes, disposable applicators and a protected work surface. Agree what you provide. Use a stable, uncluttered area with access to power if lighting or hair tools require it; a dressing table crowded with personal belongings may not be a usable workstation.

Discuss privacy and any staff preferences before the assignment is confirmed. Do not assume the same professional covers every client, look or hair texture. For hair, provide length, density and extension information and follow the agreed washing instructions. A combined booking does not automatically include shampooing or a portable basin.

Keep reference images relevant to the look. Crop or blur unrelated faces, addresses, phone numbers and other identifying information. Send building access instructions privately. Ask separately about photography: receiving a service is not permission for a provider to publish your before-and-after images.

Hygiene and product questions worth asking

Ask how brushes and reusable tools are cleaned between clients, how products are dispensed without contaminating the original container, and which applicators are single-use. A clean-looking case alone does not answer those questions. Tell the artist privately about known product or adhesive reactions and ask about the proposed lash glue if lashes are included.

The FDA’s eye-cosmetic guidance warns against sharing eye cosmetics and discusses single-use applicators for shared testers. Its safety checklist advises clean instruments, avoiding eye makeup during an eye infection or inflammation, and stopping a product that causes irritation. These are general product-use precautions, not a UAE licence check or proof that a particular booking is risk-free.

Do not use an artist to diagnose an active skin or eye problem. Raise concerns before the appointment, follow the product’s directions, and seek appropriate healthcare advice when needed. “Premium”, “natural” or a familiar brand name does not establish suitability for every person.

Get a quote that survives event day

SAbeauti’s home pricing terms illustrate why travel must be checked: the provider lists a location fee from AED 55, no minimum order and possible additional late-night or distance charges. Other providers may structure a home visit differently. Ask for your address-specific terms rather than assuming either a universal call-out fee or free travel.

  • People and services: name the makeup and hair scope for each person; avoid an undefined “family package”.
  • Lashes and accessories: state whether supply, fitting and removal advice are included; distinguish temporary lashes from extensions.
  • Trial: clarify whether it is optional, separately charged, credited to the final booking and performed by the event-day artist.
  • Time: agree arrival, ready time, artist count and the price or availability of any waiting or touch-up service.
  • Payment: confirm VAT, travel, early/late charges, deposit, cancellation and how substitutions are handled.

Use Makeup & Hair Styling for the relevant booking. If you are combining nails or other beauty appointments, the home beauty service guide helps separate those scopes. For removal and extension extras, see the home nail service guide. Do not assume one provider’s package includes every service in that category.

Compare Makeup & Hair Styling Quotes. Confirm the written scope, price and availability before booking.

Frequently asked questions

Are false lashes included in makeup at home?

Only if the specific quote includes them. Confirm lash type, application and adhesive information. A full-glam menu that includes lashes does not establish that another provider’s party makeup does.

Is bridal makeup the same as party makeup?

Not necessarily. Bridal bookings may involve trials, different scheduling, hair or accessory work and additional support. Compare the written package rather than treating the occasion label as either proof of value or an unnecessary surcharge.

Should I book a trial?

Consider one when the look, products, artist or timing need testing before an important event. Ask its cost, what can be changed afterwards and whether the same professional will attend. A trial is not automatically included or a guarantee against a product reaction.

Can one artist do makeup and hair for several people?

Possibly, but the professional must confirm capacity for the requested looks and ready times. Ask for a person-by-person schedule and whether a second artist is needed; do not infer capacity from the duration of one menu item.

Does an at-home makeup booking include touch-ups during the event?

Only rely on this when the written booking includes it. Ask whether the artist leaves after finishing, supplies anything for self-managed touch-ups or remains for a separately quoted period.
