- Private junk removal in Dubai can start around AED 100–300 for one or a few ordinary bulky items, reach AED 500–1,500 for a full truck, and exceed AED 5,000 for a large property clearance.
- Before paying, check whether ordinary household furniture or appliances qualify for the current Dubai Municipality or building-arranged bulky-item route.
- Compare the same load: send item photos, the collection route and a size reference, then ask for the truck dimensions and every inclusion in writing.
- Keep renovation debris, chemicals, paint, medical waste, asbestos and unknown materials separate; they may need a specialist or approved waste route.
The cheapest junk-removal quote is not necessarily the best-value quote. One company may mean a small pickup when it says one truck, while another sends a larger box vehicle with two workers, dismantling and disposal included. A useful comparison starts with the physical load and the collection route, not the headline price.
This guide separates ordinary bulky household items from garden waste, renovation debris and specialist materials. It also explains the free collection question, building access, quote scope and how to avoid paying twice for the same job.
Junk removal cost in Dubai: 2026 planning ranges
Public provider pages reviewed in July 2026 use different vehicles, load definitions and inclusions. The table deliberately combines several advertised bands into broad planning ranges rather than presenting one provider's starting price as a Dubai average.
| Approximate job | Indicative private range | Confirm before comparing |
|---|---|---|
| One or a few bulky items | AED 100–300 | Dimensions, lift/stairs, dismantling and whether disposal is included |
| Small load, up to about ¼ truck | AED 100–400 | Actual vehicle capacity and minimum charge |
| Medium load, up to about ½ truck | AED 200–800 | Item photos, crew size and loading time |
| Large load, about one full truck | AED 500–1,500 | Truck dimensions, number of trips and mixed-waste limits |
| Full property clearance | AED 1,500–5,000+ | Room inventory, multiple loads, cleaning and handover deadline |
| Regulated, hazardous or unknown material | Specialist quote | Classification, approved transport and disposal route |
Planning ranges only, not quotes or Bestimate transaction averages. Sources were reviewed on 22 July 2026. Final cost can change with vehicle capacity, item type, labour, dismantling, access, parking, waiting time, urgency, disposal scope and VAT.
Free bulky-waste collection or a private company?
Dubai Municipality has officially described a free bulky-waste service for eligible residents, including home furniture and used electrical or electronic appliances. Its announcements also say that some real-estate development zones and free zones are outside that route. Buildings and communities may have their own booking, loading-bay or waste-contractor process.
| Route | May suit | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai Municipality bulky-item route | Eligible residents with ordinary household furniture or appliances and a flexible collection window | Current address eligibility, item type, booking method and collection point |
| Building or community arrangement | Apartments or managed communities with a nominated process | Move permit, service lift, loading-bay slot, deposit and approved contractor rules |
| Private junk-removal company | Fixed deadline, multiple items, dismantling, stairs or a full clearance | Truck size, labour, disposal, exclusions, VAT and proof of completion |
| Specialist waste contractor | Chemicals, oils, medical waste, asbestos, regulated electronics or unknown material | Correct classification, approvals, transport and destination |
Estimate a private junk-removal range
Select an approximate load and the main waste type. The calculator uses the broader of the reviewed public ranges. It does not add fictional percentages for stairs, long carries or urgent timing; those are shown as details that must be priced in the written quote.

The result is an indicative private-removal range, not a booking price. For ordinary household items, check the current municipal or building route before paying. Regulated and unknown materials require the correct specialist route.
What does a quarter, half or full truck mean?
There is no universal Dubai truck fraction for junk removal. The fraction is useful only when the provider states the vehicle's internal dimensions or capacity. A photograph of a sofa does not show its depth, and loose bags or branches may occupy more space than expected. Dismantled flat furniture may occupy less.
| Ask for | Why it matters | Useful evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle internal size or cubic capacity | Makes load fractions comparable across providers | Truck dimensions in the written quote |
| Maximum included volume or item list | Prevents an unexpected second trip | Numbered photo inventory accepted by the provider |
| Heavy-item rule | Stone, safes, gym equipment and dense debris may need extra labour or equipment | Dimensions, estimated weight and access route |
| Overage and second-trip price | Controls the cost if the load estimate is wrong | Fixed rate or approval step before extra work |

Separate the load by waste type
A mixed pile is harder to quote and can conceal items that do not belong in an ordinary household-junk vehicle. Sort first, then ask each company which streams it can legally and practically collect.
| Material | Typical next step | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Usable furniture and working appliances | Check resale, donation, community or eligible bulky-item options before paid disposal | That a charity or buyer will collect on your deadline |
| Broken household furniture | Municipal/building eligibility check or private bulky-item removal | That dismantling and stair carry are included |
| Ordinary electrical or electronic items | Ask about the current e-waste or bulky-item route and data removal | That every battery or device can enter general waste |
| Garden trimmings | Bag or bundle as required and confirm whether soil, trunks or landscaping material are excluded | That loose green waste uses the same household rate |
| Tiles, concrete, gypsum and renovation debris | Use a debris-specific quote with weight, volume, loading and disposal stated | That a household full-truck price covers dense material |
| Paint, chemicals, oils, medical waste, asbestos or unknown material | Stop, isolate safely and ask the correct specialist or authority route | That an ordinary junk crew can transport it |
Access and building rules can change the quote
The load may be small while the route is difficult. A wardrobe that does not fit in the service lift may need dismantling. A sofa from a high floor may require more crew time. Security may refuse a truck without a move or loading permit, and a loading bay may have a strict time slot.
| Price driver | What to disclose | Quote wording to request |
|---|---|---|
| Stairs or lift limits | Floor, lift dimensions, service-lift availability and stair turns | Included floors, crew and stair charge if any |
| Dismantling | Item dimensions, material and whether reuse matters | Tools, labour, hardware and damage responsibility |
| Long carry and parking | Distance from door to truck, height restrictions and parking window | Waiting, parking and long-carry terms |
| Building protection | Lift padding, floor protection and security requirements | Who supplies protection and handles deposits |
| Timing | Allowed hours, same-day need and handover cutoff | Arrival window, cancellation and priority fee |
If the removal is part of a tenancy handover, coordinate it with the Dubai move-out checklist. If the job also needs furniture transport to another home rather than disposal, compare it against the Dubai movers and packers guide; the vehicle, wrapping and liability scope are different.

What to send for an accurate junk-removal quote
- A numbered inventory with one wide photo and one size-reference photo for each bulky item.
- Property type, floor, service-lift status, stairs and the path from item to vehicle.
- Door, lift and item dimensions where a sofa, bed or wardrobe is a close fit.
- Waste types separated into furniture, appliances, cardboard, green waste, debris and anything unknown.
- Whether dismantling is required and whether the item must remain reusable.
- Building permit, security, loading-bay, parking, working-hour and protection rules.
- Preferred date, hard handover deadline and acceptable arrival window.
- A request for truck capacity, crew, number of trips, disposal, VAT and every exclusion in writing.
Do not hide a heavy object or unknown material to obtain a low remote quote. The crew may be unable to lift or transport it safely, and a rejected item can leave you with both a callout charge and the original disposal problem.
Compare junk-removal quotes like for like
| Quote line | Minimum useful detail | Common ambiguity |
|---|---|---|
| Load | Accepted photo inventory and vehicle capacity | Full truck without dimensions |
| Labour | Crew count, included hours, carrying and loading | Driver only or labour added later |
| Dismantling and protection | Named items, tools, lift/floor protection and damage responsibility | Removal included but dismantling excluded |
| Waste scope | Accepted and excluded materials, sorting and disposal destination/category | Anything removed without exclusions |
| Access and time | Floor, lift, carry distance, parking, waiting and appointment window | Extra charges at arrival |
| Commercial terms | Fixed or capped total, second-trip rate, VAT, cancellation and payment point | Low starting price with no maximum |
Send the same item photos, access route, timing and waste categories to multiple providers. Compare truck capacity and exclusions before choosing the lowest total.
Stop and confirm a specialist route when
- The material is labelled hazardous, corrosive, flammable, toxic, medical or unknown.
- There is paint, solvent, oil, gas cylinder, chemical container, loose battery or leaking appliance fluid.
- Renovation debris may contain asbestos or another regulated material.
- The load includes very heavy stone, concrete, a safe, industrial equipment or a structure requiring cutting.
- The provider will not state where excluded or regulated waste goes.
- The collection plan requires leaving items unattended in a public or shared area.
Do not open, mix or move an unknown material simply to photograph it. Keep people away, follow the product or site safety information and ask the appropriate authority or qualified waste provider for the next step.
Frequently asked questions
How much does junk removal cost in Dubai?
Public prices reviewed in July 2026 suggest about AED 100–300 for one or a few ordinary bulky items, AED 200–800 for many medium loads, AED 500–1,500 for a full truck, and AED 1,500–5,000+ for a full property clearance. Vehicle size and inclusions vary, so these are planning ranges only.
Does Dubai Municipality remove furniture for free?
Dubai Municipality has officially promoted a free bulky-waste service for eligible residents and ordinary furniture or appliances. Some development zones and free zones may be outside that route, while buildings can use their own process. Check current address and item eligibility before relying on it.
Is one truck a standard size?
No. Ask for the vehicle's internal dimensions or cubic capacity and attach the accepted photo inventory to the quote. A full truck from one provider may not equal a full truck from another.
Are dismantling and carrying included?
They may be included, excluded or limited. State which items need dismantling, the floor, lift and carry distance, then ask the provider to confirm crew, tools, protection and any stair or waiting charge.
Can a junk-removal company take renovation debris?
Some advertise debris collection by load, but dense construction waste is not equivalent to household furniture. Identify tiles, concrete, gypsum, timber and any unknown material, then confirm weight, loading, vehicle, approved disposal and exclusions.
What should I do with paint, chemicals or asbestos?
Keep them separate from ordinary junk and do not disturb unknown or suspected hazardous material. Use the appropriate authority guidance and a qualified, approved specialist route rather than a normal household-junk booking.
Is VAT included in advertised prices?
Public pages are inconsistent. The UAE standard VAT rate is 5%, but the provider's tax status and quote wording determine whether VAT is due or already included. Ask for the total payable amount in writing.
How can I reduce the cost?
Check the eligible free route first, separate reusable or recyclable items, combine the remaining load into one prepared collection, secure the building slot and send complete photos. Do not dismantle heavy or hazardous items unless it is safe and agreed.
